It can accommodate a minimum of 60 guests and a maximum of 200 guests, with a seating capacity of 80 guests for sit-down events. The lounge is decorated with modern, elegant decor and features comfortable lounge couches & high top seating's, creating a mingling & social atmosphere for your guests to enjoy. The room also offers a private bar where guests can enjoy signature cocktails and a wide selection of wine and beer. Food service in the Lounge is only available in buffet style, allowing guests to sample a variety of delicious dishes from Sicily Coal Fired Pizza's private menu. From appetizers to entrees, the buffet style service provides guests with a wide range of options to suit any taste.

Additionally, The Cellar has its own bathrooms, which provides an added level of convenience and privacy for your guests. Chef Zachary Anderson’s culinary path began long before his professional training, rooted in the time spent learning the craft alongside his father. He later formalized this passion at Johnson & Wales University, earning degrees in both Culinary Arts and Food Service Management Today, Zachary is a seasoned industry leader with over a decade of experience navigating the fast-paced demands of high-volume, scratch kitchens. Having held key leadership roles at Hard Rock Café Foxwoods, Hash House A Go Go, and Guy Fieri’s Foxwoods Kitchen + Bar, he has mastered the art of balancing bold, seasonal flavors with meticulous operational oversight. Known for his hands-on leadership and commitment to quality, Chef Zachary consistently delivers an elevated dining experience built on technical skill and a lifelong love for the kitchen.

Tony and Maria Prifitera built their dream restaurant to allow guests to have an upbeat dining experience. Sicily brings the New Haven tradition of coal fired oven pizza to Middletown Connecticut, plus freshly made pastas, baked breads and locally sourced products. Our bars feature over 50 beers on tap, craft cocktails, a great selection of wines and Happy Hour Specials Monday through Friday from 3:00 to 6:00. Sicily is comprised of a roomy dining room and bar, an upstairs lounge with entertainment and a downstairs function room that is available for private events for 30 to 125 guests. The menu encompasses New Haven-Style Pizza, Pasta, Steaks, Veal, Chicken, Seafood and Appetizers including a Charcuterie board, Octopus, Eggplant frites, and items made with Liuzzi cheeses of New Haven. Our team is made up of Executive Chef Zach Anderson, Pastry Chef Liliana Orleanu, Bar Manager Melissa (Misia) Daniel, General Managers Sabrina Prifitera & Sal Font, Front of the House Managers Joe Prifitera & Rachel Ambrose. Melissa (Misia) Daniel assembled a varied seasonal cocktail menu, wine list, and 50 beers on tap featuring many local breweries.

<h1 class="ql-indent-1">Why the Benjamin?</h1> This recently renovated restaurant is named after America’s most famous founding father, Benjamin Franklin. While he was pinnacle in America’s Birth, he also became the first ambassador to France. While on trips to Paris, he would wine and dine with the best of them and when he returned, he would bring back the French culture, food, wine and share it with our new nation. Dishes like Potato Lyonnaise and Crème Brulée were the first of his favorites he shared with America. The Benjamin reflects that bridged gap between our two countries’ cultures. <h1 class="ql-indent-1">Behind The Scenes with our Team</h1> Local restaurateurs Rob Moss, Dave Studwell and BJ Lawless who own and operate Washington Prime and BJ Ryan’s Restaurant Group in Norwalk. The trio has won several restaurant and hospitality awards over their past 20+ years in the industry. Executive Chef, Benjamin Traver joined the team from The Modern and Cafe Boulud in New York City. His namesake fits the bill and his mouth-watering menu won’t disappoint. Highlights include: Copps Island Oysters served on the half shell with mignonette, cocktail sauce and cucumber relish; Seared Foie Gras made with pain perdu, strawberries, pistachios, and honey-black pepper duck jus; Mussels steamed with white wine and orange shiso; Long Island Duck Breast served with fava beans, almond quinoa and grapefruit gastrique; Poached Halibut with herbed couscous and beurre blanc; Filet Mignon Steak served with pomme lyonnaise, wild mushrooms and Marchand de Vin sauce; Roasted Half Chicken served with English peas, wild mushrooms and fine herb chicken jus, Lobster Risotto a 1.5lbs butter poached lobster served atop saffron risotto with asparagus; The Benjamin Burger 8oz Wagyu patty served with raclette, bacon, mustard aioli, housemade potato bun and French fries.  Pastry Chef Melissa Knauer joined the Benjamin team from Arethusa A Mano in Bantam, CT. Her dessert specialties include Vanilla Crème Brûlée with whipped ganache and caramel Tuile; Tarte au Citron with toasted meringue; Chocolate Mousse caramelia chocolate and caramel sauce; Rhubarb Cheesecake with graham cracker streusel and mascarpone. <h1 class="ql-indent-1">The Design & Feel</h1> The Benjamin boasts a stylish and inviting interior, decorated in a calming gray and seafoam blueish-green palette with natural woods and stone to give it dimension. Colorful accents from beautiful floral blooms adorn the banquets connecting the interior to the beautiful gardens outside on the property. The artwork features colorful Warhol-type Franklins, which pop in contrast to the faux oil paintings depicting scenes from the Revolutionary War. The space plays to the colonial heritage that is historic in Ridgefield, while bringing the interiors into the modern and chic era. The restaurant and bar seats 180 guests in the 6,000 square feet building. The main level features a large open bar with fireplace, two dining areas and high-top seats. The upstairs has a large dining area, a small bar, an outdoor deck that seats 24 people overlooking the majestic gardens, and a temperature-controlled wine room. Whether it’s dinner for 6 or a wedding for 200 guests, The Benjamin is equipped to handle all types of events.
